_______ MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS, THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS AND THE FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS WILL MOVE. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, ELECTRICAL POWER WILL MOVE THE FLAPS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Retract the the outboard trailing edge flaps (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Remove the tail support equipment, if installed (AMM 07-11-08/201).

 MAIN TANK TRANSFER VALVE ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This section supplies instructions to remove and install the transfer valve actuator for the main tank.
 B.  The transfer valve actuators for the main tanks are installed on the rear spar of each wing. They are found inboard of the inboard engine strut.
 C.  The access to the actuators is through the access panels in the inboard aileron actuator.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND THE EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR BEFORE YOU
_______ MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS, THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS AND THE FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS WILL MOVE. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, ELECTRICAL POWER WILL MOVE THE FLAPS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Open these circuit breakers and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
On the overhead circuit breaker panel, P7: 1) 7H21, FUEL XFR VALVE MAIN 1 2) 7H24, FUEL XFR VALVE MAIN 4

Open the circuit breaker 7H21 FUEL XFR VALVE MAIN 1 or 7H24 FUEL XFR VALVE MAIN 4 on the P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE identifier.

Open the applicable access panel 573AT or 673AT.

Disconnect the electrical connector DV55, from the valve actuator, V55 (No. 1 main tank) or the connector DV50 from the actuator, V50 (No. 4 main tank).

Put the manual override lever for the valve actuator to the closed position.

Remove the bolt, the washers, and the nut that attach the bonding jumper to the lug on the actuator.

Remove the screws and the washers (4 locations) that attach the actuator to the index plate.

Remove the actuator and disengage the actuator shaft that has splines from the adapter plate.
