(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref 28-26-00/201).

Purge and prepare to go into the fuel tank (Ref 28-11-00/201).

Remove more tank access doors, if it is necessary, to get access to the float valve that is to be disassembled (Ref 28-11-02/401).

If you remove the float assembly from the float valve in the center wing tank, remove the spanwise beam access doors (Ref 28-11-09/401).
(a)
For the float valve on left side of the tank, remove the access doors 131AZ, 131BZ, and 131CZ.
(b)
For the float valve on the right side of the tank, remove the access doors 131AZ, 131BZ, 132AZ, and 132BZ.

Remove the screws, washers, and nuts (4 locations) that attach the valve to the mounting flange.
