SCAVENGE SYSTEM JET PUMP - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the jet pump(s) for the hydromechanical scavenge system in the center wing tank (jet pump).
(2)
The installation of the jet pump(s) for the hydromechanical scavenge system in the center wing tank.
B.
There are four jet pumps in the center wing tank. The jet pumps are attached to the left and right lower panel intercostals that are farthest outboard (forward and aft of the mid spar of the center wing tank) (Fig. 401).
C.
To get to the jet pumps you must go through the center wing tank access door and the spanwise beam access doors.

(2) Remove all the fuel in the center wing tank and prepare the center wing tank for an entry (AMM 28-11-00/201).

To get to the aft jet pump(s), remove these spanwise beam access doors (AMM 28-11-09/401):

131CZ (fuel scavenge system into the No. 2 main tank)
(b)
132AZ (fuel scavenge system into the No. 3 main tank).

Disconnect or loosen the bonding jumpers and the tube support brackets if it is necessary.
