7. Individual Wing Fuel Tank - Air Pressure Leak Check (Fig. 611)

A. General
(1)
This task uses air pressure to check for tank-to-tank leaks between two adjacent fuel tanks. After air pressure is applied to a single fuel tank, the adjacent tank can be entered and soap solution applied to the tank end structure. Air leaks between the two tanks can be identified by air bubbles in the soap solution.
(2)
Use this task after you have done maintenance on the tank end structure between fuel tanks or to troubleshoot tank-to-tank fuel leaks.
(3)
Do this procedure before you add fuel to the applicable fuel tanks.
