Put the new O-rings (7), lubricated with petrolatum, in the transfer line couplings (8).

Attach the couplings (8) to the valve body (6)
 (AMM 28-00-00/201).
 1) Install the lockwire on the couplings (8).


 (h)  
Tighten the bolts (10) (four locations) that attach the valve body (6) to the mounting bracket (4) (View B). 1) Install the lockwire on the bolts (10).

Tighten the bolts (3) (four locations) that attach the mounting bracket (4) to the support brackets (View A).

Apply alodine 600 to any bonding areas not covered by the electrical faying surfaces (AMM 51-21-04/701).

 (4)  Measure the bonding resistance (electrical surface bond) between primary structure and these components (SWPM 20-20-00):
 NOTE: The bonding resistance must not be more than 0.010 ohm.

_______ THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS, THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS, AND THE FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS WILL MOVE. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, ELECTRICAL POWER WILL MOVE THE FLAPS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

 RESERVE TANK TRANSFER VALVE ADAPTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure contains instructions to remove and install an adapter for the transfer valve in the reserve tank. The instructions are almost the same for all four of the adapters; only the locations are different.
 B.  NO. 3 RESERVE TANK INSTALLATION; The No. 3 reserve tank adapter plate is rotated 90 degrees on the rear spar. The OPEN and CLOSED indications must be read on the adapter plate when you use the manual position lever. Do not use the indication on the valve actuator.
 NOTE: This installation allows the No. 3 reserve tank to open in an
____ inboard direction. This is necessary because ice can build-up in the transfer line outboard of the reserve tank transfer valve.
 C.  Two persons are necessary to do this procedure. One person is necessary outside the tank to remove or install the adapter shaft through the spar opening and to hold the adapter plate. And one person is necessary inside the tank to remove or install the mounting hardware.
 D.  The adapter for the reserve tank transfer valve is installed on the rear spar of the outboard main tank, below each transfer valve actuator. The adapter shaft goes through an opening in the spar and engages with the valve body.
 E.  The access for the adapters is behind the trailing edge flaps. You must extend the trailing edge flaps to get to the adapters.
