Connect the output cable of test lead (F) to the signal conditioner. 1) Put the test lead up the fan cowl panel, aft along the

 strut, along the leading edge of the wing, and through the hatch to the analyzer. 2) Use tape, at locations that are apart 4-6 inches (100-150 mm), to attach the test lead to the surfaces.

Do the analyzer hook-up, warm-up, and calibration as shown in the operating instructions of the equipment.

_______ RELATED TEST LEADS. IF YOU INSTALL THE EQUIPMENT OR LEADS INCORRECTLY, IT CAN BE NECESSARY TO OPERATE THE ENGINE TOO MANY TIMES.
 (2)  To install the kit in the E/E bay, do the steps that follow (optional to the installation at the engine).
 (a)  
Open the E/E bay door.

 (b)  
Remove the AVM (airborne vibration monitoring) box from the AVM rack.

 (c)  
Put the AVM box in the storage box for the AVM trim balance.

 (d)  
Install the AVM connecting case in the AVM rack.

(e)  
Connect the cables for the N1, No. 1 bearing and the TRF trim balance to the AVM connecting case. 1) Connect the other ends of the two cables to the signal

 conditioner unit (SCU).

 (f)  
Attach the SCU in the E/E bay with adhesive tape.

 (g)  
Connect the output cable to the SCU.

 (h)  
Use tape, at locations that are apart 4-6 inches (100-150 mm), to attach the cable down to the surface as follows: 1) Put it along the fuselage at the 6 o'clock position. 2) Put it up above the wing to the emergency hatch. 3) Put it through the emergency hatch to the analyzer.

 (i)  
Make a selection of the right or left engine on the AVM connecting case.

 (j)  
Connect the power cable to a 115V/400Hz socket in the cockpit area.

 (k)  
Set the power supply to the "ON" position.

 (l)  
Make sure that the indicator lights for the trim balance analyzer and the signal conditioner unit came on.

 (m)  
Adjust the "meter scale" switch to "A" after the trim balance kit charged for 10 minutes.

 (n)  
Push on the "test" button on the analyzer and do a check as follows: 1) Make sure the display for the N1 speed indicator shows


 4780-4820 RPM. 2) Make sure the indicator for the unbalance amplitude display shows 13.5-14.5 mils P.P. 3) Make sure the phase pointer indicator shows 235-245°.
 NOTE: This test must be done for each position of the
____ "channel and sensitivity selector".
 4)  If the test was a failure, examine all of the connections and the power supply.
 5)  If the analyzer continues to operate incorrectly, do these steps: a) Use the 3-Shot Plot procedure to do the trim balance
 procedure.

b)  Do the troubleshooting and repair or replacement of the analyzer.
 G.  FOR KIT 856A2636G01; Prepare for the trim balance procedure as follows. (Fig. 501).

 (1)  Do the steps that follow to install the kit.
 (a)  
Open the electronic bay door.

 (b)  
Assemble the ARINC case support assembly.

 1)  Install the Adapter (856A2636P05) into the rear of the ARINC case support (856A2636P04).

 (c)  
Remove the airborne vibration monitoring (AVM) box from the AVM rack.
