WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE FOR THE THRUST REVERSER TO

Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Open the right and left fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Open the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

If it is necessary, turn and index the N2 rotor (AMM 72-00-00/201).
NOTE: It is recommended that you stop the N2 rotor when you put
____ each blade in position for the inspection. This lets you make a complete inspection of each blade.

(5) If you turn or index the N1 rotor, do these steps:
(a)
Find the No. 1 fan blade.
1) The No. 1 fan blade is located adjacent to a machined dimple in the aft area of the rear spinner cone.
(b)
Make a mark to identify the No. 1 fan blade.
(c)
Align the leading edge of the No. 1 fan blade with the T12 temperature sensor. 1) The T12 temperature sensor located at the 2 o'clock
position on the inner side of the fan case.
