 USED. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.

 DO NOT RINSE THE ENGINE IF THE EGT INDICATION IS MORE THAN 66°C. ENGINE DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
 USE AMM 71-00-00/201 TO OPERATE THE POWER PLANT. IF YOU DO NOT USE THIS PROCEDURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 MAKE SURE THE N1 ROTOR TURNS FREELY WHEN YOU RINSE THE ENGINE. IF THE N1 ROTOR DOES NOT TURN FREELY, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD OCCUR.
 (1) Use the Power Plant Dry-Motor procedure to motor the engine for two
 minutes (AMM/71-00-00/201) ú         ú
CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE A WATER FLOW OF MORE THAN 5-6 GPM (19-23 LITERS ú PER MINUTE). DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR. ú
 (a)  While the engine turns, apply water through the fan blades and into the LPC inlet.

Let the engine soak for 5 minutes.

Use the Power Plant Dry-Motor procedure to motor the engine again


 for two minutes (AMM/71-00-00/201) ú         ú

 (a)  While the engine turns, apply water through the fan blades and into the LPC inlet.

 (a)  For the first minute only, apply water through the fan blades and into the LPC inlet.

 (6)  
Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 REVERSERS.  IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU OPEN
 THE THRUST REVERSERS, INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO

 EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (7)  
Open the left (right) thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Let the engine drain for 5 minutes.

Connect the CDP and CBP lines as follows:

 (a)  
Remove the end caps and connect the CDP and CBP lines.

 (b)  
Tighten the coupling nut for the CBP line to 135-150 pound-inches (15-17 Newton meters). 1) Apply a lockwire to the coupling nut.

 (c)  
Tighten the coupling nut for the CDP line to 270-300 pound-inches (30-34 Newton meters). 1) Apply a lockwire to the coupling nut.

 (10) Add 1 quart (1 liter) of oil additive (CP5067) or corrosion preventive additive (CP5075) to the oil tank.

 Close the left (right) thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 Close the left (right) fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (13) Operate the engine after no more than 30 minutes from the last wash cycle to remove all the water from the oil system (AMM 71-00-00/201).
 NOTE:____Corrosion preventive should be used. If none of the corrosion preventive products specified above is available, engine must be operated within 24 hours following this post wash test or dry out and relubrication procedure must be performed.
