Lift the blade retainer out of the fan disk.
(e)
Lower the blade to the disk center to disengage the mid-span
shroud.
(f)
Move the blade forward and out of the dovetail slot to remove the blade.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THESE MARKS SHOW ON THE HUB OF THE FAN
_______ DISK: "SHIMS REQUIRED" AND "DISK REPAIRED". DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW CORRECT PROCEDURES FOR ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 72-621.
