Examine Outer Stationary Air Seals.
(a)
Distortion of the outer stationary seals is permitted if the shroud does not extend into the air stream.
(b)
This part of the procedure is only to be performed when the 4th Stage blades are shingled or unlatched. 1) Worn, jagged, or crushed honeycomb material is serviceable
if the damage is less than 0.08 inch (2 mm) deep.
2) If not serviceable, a maximum service extension of 10 cycles is permitted provided there are no areas of the abradable shroud (material) missing.

(5) Do these steps to install the borescope plugs:
(a)
Apply a light layer of graphite grease (CP2101) on the borescope plug threads and the mating surfaces.
(b)
Install in the borescope ports.
(c)
Tighten the plugs to 57-63 pound-inches
(6.4-7.1 Newton meters).
(d)
Put a lockwire on the plug.
