If the diameter of the borescope holes are less than 0.24 inch (6 mm), do these steps: 1) Put a locally available alignment rod in the hole for the
vane segment. 2) Apply a light, downward force on the end of the rod to move the vane up in the case.
NOTE: The aluminum rod has a diameter of

0.375 inch (9.93 mm), with a length of 18 inches (460 mm). There is a 4 inch (100 mm) taper at one end. Because of this taper, the diameter of the rod decreases to 0.062 inch (1.6 mm) at that end Fig. 605).
