(d) Examine the convex airfoil surfaces and the blade platforms on the convex side. 1) Cracks on the convex surface are not serviceable. 2) Nicks and dents on the convex surface in area A are
permitted with no maximum limit if they are less than
0.25 inch (6.4 mm) in length.
3) Nicks and dents on the convex surface in area B are permitted with no maximum limit if they are less than
0.10 inch (2.54 mm) in length.
4) A maximum of three nicks and dents on the convex surface in area C are permitted if these steps are obeyed: a) They are less than 0.05 inch (1.27 mm) in length b) They have a separation of a minimum distance of
0.125 inch (3.20 mm) c) There are no cracks or torn metal.
5) Cracks on the convex side of the blade platform are permitted with no maximum number if they are not found in the airfoil.
(e) Examine the concave airfoil surfaces and the blade platforms on the concave side. 1) Blades that have cracks on the concave surface in the axial
direction and less than in 0.70 inch (17.8 mm) from the trailing edge and above the 7th trailing edge slot from the platform. a) There is no limit if they are less than 0.50 inch
(12.8 mm) in length and the cracks do not connect with the slot on the trailing edge.
b) A maximum service extension of 10 cycles is permitted if the cracks are less than 0.55 inch (14.0 mm) in length and do not connect with the trailing edge.
2) Material with craze cracks a) There is no maximum limit if they do not extend down through the 4th slot from the platform. 3) Cracks in the concave surface in other areas are not serviceable.

7) Blades platform cracks on the concave side are not serviceable. a) A maximum service extension of 10 cycles is permitted
if damage is found. 8) Radial core lines across the width of the trailing edge ribs are permitted with no limit.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE CORRECT BORESCOPE PLUG IN THE CORRECT
_______ LOCATION. THE BORESCOPE PLUG TO THE LPT STAGE 1 AND COMBUSTION CASE HAVE THE SAME THREAD SIZE. THE STEM OF THE BORESCOPE PLUG TO THE LPT STAGE 1 NOZZLE WILL BE BURNED AWAY IF IT IS INSTALLED IN THE BORESCOPE PORT TO THE COMBUSTION CASE.
(12) Do these steps to install the borescope plugs (Fig. 606C):
(a)
Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (CP2101) to the threads and the mating surfaces of the plugs.
(b)
Install the plugs.
(c)
Tighten the plugs to 57-63 pound-inches (6.3-7.0 Newton meters).
(d)
Put a lockwire on the plugs.

If you do not find damage and you think there is no damage, then the inspection of the HPT blades is completed.
