________________________________________________________________________ b) If the nicks or dents are not in the limits, a maximum service extension of 5 cycles or 10 hours is permitted.
 2)  Nicks or dents in the other areas on the leading and trailing edges. a) Any amount of nicks or dents is permitted if they are
less than 0.03 inch (0.80 mm) deep.
 b)  Nicks or dents equal to or more than 0.03 inch (0.80 mm) deep are serviceable only under all the conditions that follow:
 1.
Damaged areas must not be more than 50% of the

_ chord width.

 2.
There must not be more than 2 damaged areas on each

_ airfoil.

 3.
Damaged areas must be separated by 0.5 inch (13 mm)

_ radially and 0.2 inch (5 mm) from the leading and trailing edges.

 4.
There must not be more than 5 damaged blades in

_ each quadrant.

 5.
The damage must not be more than 5 percent of the

_ blades. c) If the damage is not in the above limits, a maximum service extension of 5 cycles or 10 hours is permitted.
 3)  Nicks or dents on the concave or convex airfoil surfaces not in Area E. a) Any amount of nicks or dents is permitted if they are
less than 0.015 inch (0.040 mm) deep and the damage does not go through to the opposite surface. b) Up to 5 dents are permitted if they extend less than
0.01 inch (0.25 mm) on the opposite side.
 c)  If the damage is not in the limits, it is serviceable only under all the conditions that follow:
 1.
Damaged areas must not be more than 50% of the

_ chord width.

 2.
There must not be more than 2 damaged areas on each
