(t)
Replace the three P05 screws that you installed with the initial three lubricated P07 balance screws.
(u)
Make a matrix that is almost the same as Fig. 504.
NOTE: The phase lag is equal to the correct angle minus the
____ angle that is shown at each specified speed. This is because the correct position to install the balance weights will be directly opposite the center position of the three P05 screws. The sensitivity values are equal to the correct added weight divided by the amplitude at each specified speed.
F. Use the Alternate Procedure to Make the Matrix.

(1) When no engine with low vibration indications (less than 2.0 mils on both the No. 1 bearing and TRF sensors) is available, do as follows.
(a)
Make a matrix with the one-shot plot and vector analysis procedures on more than one engine.
(b)
It is best to do a check of the matrix results on not less than three engines.
(c)
Make sure the matrix gives correct trim balance results.

6. Trim Balance Procedure (3-Shot Plot Method)______________________
A. General
(1) A selector switch and breakout cable is put in the airplane AVM system to make it possible to use one of the two accelerometer signals. The signal is then filtered for the N1 rotor signal with the narrow band frequency filters in the AVM signal conditioner.
B. Equipment
(1) Protective mats (two required) - Rubber
Manufacturer's Association, Grade SC43,
neoprene sponge, 1 inch thick, approximately
3x4 feet with warning streamer attached.

F. Do the Trim Balance Procedure.
NOTE: If, during an engine run with test weights installed, the engine
____ becomes balanced (the FAN and LPT vibration levels at the different speeds become lower than the recommended level of 2.0 units on the flight deck indication), the trim balance procedure is completed. The test weights stay installed, and the airplane is put back to its usual condition.
