 (2)  Do these steps to remove the tools from the drive pad:
 (a)  Remove the 3/4-inch square drive tool and the two-foot extension.
 H. Turn the N2 Rotor With a Drive Motor

 (1)  Do these steps to turn the N2 rotor with the drive motor:
 (a)  Attach the drive motor to the drive pad.
 NOTE: Make sure the drive motor is horizontal and the
____ ports for the air hoses face outboard.

(b)  
Adjust the drive motor until the captive screws align with the 6 drive pad holes.

 (c)  
Tighten the captive screws with your hand.

 (d)  
Connect the air hoses from the foot or hand control to the quick-disconnect ports on the drive motor.

 (e)  
Use the manufacturer's instructions to operate the foot or hand control to turn the drive motor in a counterclockwise direction as seen from the rear.


 NOTE: During engine operation, the engine turns in the
____ clockwise direction as seen from the rear. Because of the AGB gearing, when you turn the drive pad in the counterclockwise direction as seen from the rear, the engine will turn in the correct clockwise direction.
 It is recommended that the N2 rotor be turned in its usual clockwise direction.

 (2)  Do these steps to remove the drive motor from the drive pad:
 (a)  
Disconnect the air hoses from the foot or hand control at the quick-disconnect ports on the drive motor.

 (b)  
Loosen the captive screws.

 (c)  
Remove the drive motor from the drive pad.


 I. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE COVER ON THE AGB WHEN THIS TASK IS

 DONE. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE COVER ON THE AGB, THE ENGINE
 CAN LEAK OIL WHEN IT IS OPERATED. INJURIES TO PERSONS AND
 DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT INSTALL THE COVER ON THE AGB WITHOUT NEW O-RING(S). IF
 THE COVER IS INSTALLED WITHOUT NEW O-RING(S), THE ENGINE CAN
 LEAK OIL. THIS CAN CAUSE ENGINE FAILURE.

 (1)  Do these steps to attach the cover on the drive pad:
 (a)  Lubricate new O-ring(s) with oil, CFMI SB 79-001.
 NOTE: On engines PRE-CFMI-SB 72-155, there is only one
____
 O-ring.

(b)  
Install the new O-ring(s) on the cover.

 (c)  
Install the cover on the drive pad.

 (d)  
Install the 5 bolts on the cover as follows: 1) Lightly lubricate the bolt threads with grease, GP460,


 Aeroshell 8. 2) Install the five bolts and the washers. 3) Tighten the bolts to 97-106 pound-inches (11-12 Newton
 meters). 4) Install a lockwire on the bolts.
 ú NOTE:____If no more than one insert is damaged and it is ú preventing the installation of one bolt to secure ú the cover, do these steps: ú 1. Continued service is permitted until the next ú engine shop visit. ú 2. Use a temporary marking to identify the bolt ú that was intentionally uninstalled. ú

Do the Leak Check at Idle Power that is given in the Power Plant Reference Table (AMM 71-00-00/501).

Close the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
