Obey the instructions given for each area as follows:
(a) If the point is in area A:
1) If you find that the N1 rotor stopped during the hot start, do the borescope inspection procedure for the 1st-stage LPT blades.
2) A maximum service extension of one start is permitted.
a) If that start is a normal start, one cycle is permitted before you must do the troubleshooting procedure to find and correct cause of the hot start (AMM 71-00-41/101).
b) If that start results in another hot start, you must do the troubleshooting procedure to find and correct the problem before the next flight (AMM 71-00-41/101).
(b) If the point is in area B, do these steps before the next flight: 1) You must do a borescope inspection of the HPT blades and
the 1st-stage LPT blades. 2) Do the trouble shooting procedure to find the cause of the hot start (AMM 71-00-41/101).
3) A maximum service extension of one start is permitted and, if that start is satisfactory, 1 cycle is permitted before you must correct the problem.
(c) If the point is in area C, do these steps before you start the engine again: 1) Do the borescope inspections of the HPT blades and the
1st-stage LPT blades. 2) Do the trouble shooting procedure to find the cause of the hot start (AMM 71-00-41/101).
E. Engine Overtemperature - Not Starting (Fig. 611).
NOTE:____ There can be many causes of an EGT overtemperature. Some examples
are:
- N1 overboost
- Too much air bleed
- Engine deterioration
- Temperature inversion during the takeoff
-Engine warm up time is not sufficient before the takeoff.
