After you complete the borescope inspections, remove the borescope from the engine. Turn off, disassemble and store the borescope equipment as follows:
(a) On the borescope equipment: 1) Turn the light switch to the OFF position. 2) Keep the blower for the main light on until the temperature
of the housing and the lamp are not hot when you touch it. 3) Make sure the power switch is off. 4) Make sure the light intensity control is set to a minimum. 5) Disconnect the power supply and the ground. 6) Disconnect the extension and the viewer from the borescope. 7) Disconnect the borescope from the fiber light cable. 8) Disconnect the fiber light cable from the light source.

(1)
If not already done, do the procedure to prepare for the borescope inspection.
S 216-009-C00
(2)
Examine the 1st-stage fan blades (AMM 72-31-02/601).
S 216-010-C00
(3)
Examine the 1st-stage stator vanes through the 1st-stage fan blades (AMM 72-31-03/601).
S 216-011-C00
(4)
Examine the 2nd- thru 4th-stage rotor blades and stator vanes.
NOTE: Areas of the booster rotor that you can see are:
____ the leading edge of the 2nd-stage blades the trailing edge of the 3rd-stage blades the leading edge of the 4th-stage blades.
The leading edges of the 2nd-stage rotor blades can be seen through the inlet to the primary gaspath.
(a)
Connect the rigid borescope with the long, right angle borescope extention, 90° right angle viewer and 60° field of vision (Fig. 602).
(b)
Install the borescope to see the leading edge of the 2nd-stage rotor blades.
