 (a)  
Do the deactivation procedure for the right thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (b)  
Open the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO OPEN THE THRUST
_______ REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU OPEN THE THRUST REVERSERS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (c)  
Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (d)  
If the No. 1 bearing vibration sensor is does not operate, install the FFCCV vibration sensor (AMM 77-31-01/401).

 (e)  
If the No. 1 bearing vibration sensor operates correctly, disconnect the electrical plug D3234 from the connector for No. 1 bearing vibration sensor.


 NOTE: The vibration sensor connector is on the fan frame
____
 bulkhead, inboard of the 3 o'clock strut.

 1)  Install a cap on the plug.
 2)  Tie off the plug.
 (f)  
Connect the test lead (B) to the bulkhead connector or to the FFCCV vibration sensor if it is installed.

 (g)  
Disconnect the electrical plug D3232 from the connector of the TRF vibration sensor at the 5:30 o'clock position on the front stator of the HPC (high pressure compressor). 1) Install a cap on the plug. 2) Tie off the plug.

 (h)  
Connect the test lead (C) to the connecter of the TRF vibration sensor.

 (i)  
Put the leads along the flexible seal on the aft right side of the 6 o'clock strut (Fig. 501).

 (j)  
Attach the leads to the engine at applicable locations to prevent worn through areas and unwanted, incorrect signals which are caused by vibration. 1) Use tape to attach the leads to the top of the seal.

 (k)  
Put the leads along the aft bottom horizontal flange of the bulkhead of the thrust reverser half and down through the No. 3 latch slot. 1) Use tape, at locations that are apart 4-6 inches (100-150

 mm), to attach the leads to the half bulkhead.

 (l)  
Make sure the leads do not become damaged when you do the step that follows.


 WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO CLOSE THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU CLOSE THE THRUST REVERSERS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 1)  Carefully close the right fan duct cowl and the thrust
 reverser with a hand pump (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 NOTE: Do not close the No. 3 latch.

(m)  
Disconnect the electrical plug D546 from the N1 speed sensor which is immediately aft of the oil tank on the fan case. 1) Install a cap on the plug.

 (n)  
Connect test lead (A) to the N1 speed sensor. 1) Attach the the test lead near the filler cap of the oil tank.

 2)  Attach the cable to the engine at applicable locations to prevent worn through areas and unwanted, incorrect signals which are caused by vibration.

 (o)  
Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (p)  
Open the access door of the oil tank.

 (q)  
Use tape to attach the access door on the fan inlet cowl.

 (r)  
Connect the leads for the vibration and N1 speed sensor to the signal conditioner.

 (s)  
Install the signal conditioner on the lower edge of the door opening.

 (t)  
Use tape, at locations that are apart 4-6 inches (100-150 mm), to attach the test leads for the vibration sensor to the cowling.

 (u)  
Open, a small quantity, the handle of the applicable emergency exit hatch above the wing (AMM 52-21-00/401). 1) With some sponge rubber put around the cable, for
