(1) Prepare the cleaning solution as follows:
(a) Mix 8 gallons (32 liters) of water with 2 gallons (8 liters) of
cleaner.

USE THIS PROCEDURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
MAKE SURE THE N1 ROTOR TURNS FREELY WHEN YOU WASH THE ENGINE.
IF THE N1 ROTOR DOES NOT TURN FREELY, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE
COULD OCCUR.
(2) Use the Power Plant Dry-Motor procedure to motor the engine for one
minute (AMM/71-00-00/201).

CAUTION:_______ DO NOT USE A WATER FLOW OF MORE THAN 5-6 GPM (19-23 LITERS
ú PER MINUTE). DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.

(a) Disengage the starter and immediately apply the cleaning
solution through the fan blades and into the LPC inlet.
(b) Apply the solution until the solution is gone or the N1 rotor
stops.
