(b)
Open the APU cowl door.
(c)
Connect the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud and open the shroud latches.
(b)
Remove the lower shroud.

(4) Remove the solenoid valve:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid valve.
(b)
Disconnect the three air lines from the solenoid valve fittings. 1) Identify the air lines with tags to make sure you install
them correctly.
(c)
Remove the two bolts, the nuts, and the washers that attach the solenoid valve to the bracket.
(d)
Remove the solenoid valve.

(5) Remove the fittings and the packings from the solenoid valve.
(a) Discard the packings.

C. Procedure

(1) Install the solenoid valve fittings:
(a)
Install the new packings on the fittings.
(b)
Install the fittings in the solenoid valve.

(2) Install the solenoid valve:
(a)
Attach the solenoid valve to the mounting bracket with the bolts, the nuts, and the washers. 1) Tighten the nuts to 20-25 pound-inches
(2.3-2.8 newton-meters).
(b)
Connect the air lines to the solenoid valve fittings. 1) Remove the identification tags if it is necessary.
(c)
Connect the electrical connector to the solenoid valve. 1) Install a lockwire on the connector.

CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, THE FIRE DETECTOR, THE CLAMPS, AND THE LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE
SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Install the lower shroud: (a) Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud. (b) Close the shroud latches.

(4) Close the APU cowl door: (a) Disconnect the door support rods. (b) Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door. (c) Close the APU cowl door. (d) Close the latches for the APU cowl door.
