Set the No. 1 AFT FUEL PUMP switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the OFF position.

Loosen the plug on the fuel supply hose to release the fuel pressure. 1) Let the fuel from the fuel supply hose drain into the
container.
(i)
Remove the plug from the fuel supply hose.
(j)
Remove the container with the fuel from below the fuel supply hose.
(k)
Remove the external electrical power from the airplane if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

FUEL SENSING FLOW CONTROL VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains the removal and the installation tasks for the control valve for the fuel sensing flow. During this procedure, the valve is referred to as the control valve.
B. The control valve is installed on a bracket on the upper shroud in the APU compartment. You can get access to the valve through the APU cowl door.

(1) Set the switch and the circuit breaker:
(a)
Set the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(b)
Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

(2) Open the APU cowl door:
(a) Open the latches for the APU cowl door.

Open the APU cowl door.
(c)
Connect the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud and open the shroud latches.
(b)
Remove the lower shroud.

Remove the fire detection element for the APU (AMM 26-15-14/401).
