(1) Set the switch and the circuit breaker:
(a)
Set the APU master switch, on the P5 forward overhead panel, to the OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(b)
Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

(2) Open the APU cowl door:
(a)
Open the latches for the APU cowl door.
(b)
Open the APU cowl door.
(c)
Connect the door support rods.

(3) Remove the check valve:
(a) Disconnect the bleed air line from the check valve.

Install a cap on the bleed air line.
(c)
Remove the check valve and gasket from the bleed air duct. 1) Discard the gasket.

C. Procedure
S 424-006
(1) Install the check valve:
(a)
Install a new gasket on the check valve.
(b)
Install the check valve on the boss of the bleed air duct.
NOTE: To install the check valve, make sure the directional
____ flow arrow points away from the bleed air duct.
(c)
Remove the cap from the bleed air line.
(d)
Connect the bleed air line to the check valve.

(2) Set the circuit breaker and the switch:
(a)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

(3) APUs WITH ALLIEDSIGNAL SB GTCP85-49-7096;
Examine the check valve for leakage:
(a)
Start and operate the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(b)
During the APU operation, examine the check valve and the air line connection for leakage.
(c)
Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
