(b) Remove the lower shroud.

(4) Remove the igniter plug:
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE IGNITION COMPONENTS UNTIL YOU DO THESE
_______ STEPS. THESE STEPS WILL RELEASE THE HIGH VOLTAGE FROM THE IGNITION UNIT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE STEPS, INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
(a)
Release the high voltage from the ignition unit: 1) Stop for a minimum of 5 minutes. 2) Disconnect the igniter cable from the igniter plug. 3) Ground the igniter cable terminal to the APU engine.
(b)
Remove the bolts and the washers that attach the igniter plug to the combustion chamber cap.
(c)
Remove the igniter plug from the combustion chamber cap.
(d)
Remove the gasket and the retainer from the igniter plug. 1) Discard the gasket.
(e)
Install the cap and plug on the igniter cable and combustion chamber cap.

S 424-007
(1) Install the igniter plug:
(a)
Remove the cap and plug from the igniter cable and combustion chamber cap.
(b)
Install a new gasket and the retainer on the igniter plug.

(c)
Install the igniter plug in the combustion chamber cap with the bolts and the washers. 1) Tighten the bolts to 50-70 pound-inches (5.7-7.9
newton-meters).
(d)
Connect the igniter cable to the igniter plug.
(e)
Install lockwire on the igniter cable and the igniter plug bolts.

CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, THE FIRE DETECTOR, THE CLAMPS, AND THE LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE
SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(2) Install the lower shroud: (a) Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud. (b) Close the shroud latches.

(3) Close the APU cowl door: (a) Disconnect the door support rods. (b) Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door. (c) Close the APU cowl door. (d) Close the latches on the APU cowl door.

(4) Set the circuit breaker and the switch: (a) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit (b) Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
