(d)
Install the packings on the oil pump housing.
(e)
Put the oil pump on the accessory drive gearbox.
(f)
Align the inlet line for the oil pump with the fitting on the inlet port for the oil pump.
(g)
Attach the oil pump assembly to the accessory drive gearbox with the bolts and the washers.
(h)
Tighten the bolts to 50-70 pound-inches (5.7-8.0
newton-meters).
(i)
Connect the compressor inlet line to the fitting on the oil pump.
(j)
Connect the gearbox inlet line to the oil manifold fitting.
(k)
Connect the inlet line for the scavenge pump to the oil pump.
(l)
Connect the electrical connector to the oil temperature switch.
(m)
Connect the electrical connector to the tachometer generator on the oil pump.
(n)
Connect the inlet line for the oil pump to the oil pump fitting.
(o)
Connect the inlet line for the oil cooler to the fitting on the oil pump.
(p)
Connect the electrical connector to the switch for the low oil pressure.
(q)
Connect the electrical connector to the sequencing switch for the oil pressure.

Install the starter motor (AMM 49-41-11/401).

Fill the oil tank (AMM 49-91-31/301).

Set the circuit breaker and the switch:
(a)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

(5) APUs WITH ALLIEDSIGNAL SB GTCP85-49-7096; Examine the oil pump for leakage:
(a)
Start and operate the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(b)
During the APU operation, examine the oil pump for leakage.
(c)
Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(d)
Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
(e)
If you found leakage, repair the cause of it.

(6) APUs WITHOUT ALLIEDSIGNAL SB GTCP85-49-7096; Examine the oil pump for leakage:
(a)
Start and operate the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(b)
Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(c)
Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
(d)
Visually examine the oil pump for any signs of leakage: 1) If you found signs of leakage, repair the cause of it.

(7) Do a check for the oil pump pressure (AMM 49-91-11/501).

CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, FIRE DETECTOR, CLAMPS AND LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(8) Install the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.
(b)
Close the shroud latches.

(9) Close the APU cowl door:
(a)
Disconnect the door support rods.
(b)
Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door.
(c)
Close the APU cowl door.
(d)
Close the latches for the APU cowl door.

(10) Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
