 CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCH (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, THE FIRE DETECTOR, THE CLAMPS, AND THE LOWER SHROUD.
 BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
 (10) Install the lower shroud:
 (a)  
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.

 (b)  
Close the shroud latches.

 (11) Close the APU cowl door:
 (a)  
Disconnect the door support rods.

 (b)  
Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door.

 (c)  
Close the APU cowl door.

 (d)  
Close the latches for the APU cowl door.

 (12) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
 (a)  E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

 (13) Remove the stabilizer trim lock assembly from the stabilizer trim wheel.
 (a)  
Remove the safety pin and the pin through the yoke.

 (b)  
Remove the stabilizer trim lock.

 (14) Close the circuit breakers and switch.
 (a)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the P18 Circuit Breaker Panel. 1) AUTOPILOT STABILIZER TRIM SERVO 2) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A WARN LIGHT BAT 3) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A ENGAGE INTLK A 4) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A FCC DC 5) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A SNSR EXC AC 6) AIRPLANES WITH MECHANICAL AILERON FORCE LIMITER;

 AFDS AIL FORCE LIM
 7) AFDS MCP DC
 8) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A MACH TRIM DC
 9) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A MACH TRIM AC


 (b)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the P6 Circuit Breaker Panel: 1) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B WARN LIGHT BAT 2) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B ENGAGE INTLK B 3) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B FCC DC 4) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B SNSR EXC AC 5) AFDS MCP CRS-2

COOLING AIR FAN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure gives the tasks to remove and install the cooling air fan. During this procedure, the cooling air fan is referred to as the cooling fan.
 B.  It is not necessary to replace the APU for the replacement of the cooling fan.
 C.  The cooling fan is installed on the gearbox assembly. Because of the
 location of the cooling fan, you must lower the APU when you replace the
 cooling fan.

 C.  Procedure
 S 024-033
 (1)  Remove the APU power plant (AMM 49-11-00/401).
 NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the APU from the APU
____ compartment for the cooling fan removal. You can lower the APU until you can gain access to the cooling fan.

 (2)  
If it is necessary, put the APU on the transportation dolly to make sure the APU is stable for removal of the cooling fan.
