FUEL HEATER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure gives the tasks to remove and to install the fuel heater. The fuel heater is installed on the upper shroud. You must remove the APU to get access to the fuel heater.

Remove the APU power plant (AMM 49-11-00/401).

Disconnect the fuel lines and the bleed air lines from the fuel heater:
(a)
Put a container below the fuel heater.
(b)
Disconnect the fuel inlet line from the check valve on the fuel heater.
(c)
Permit the fuel in the fuel inlet line to drain into the container.
(d)
Install a cap on the fuel inlet line.
(e)
Disconnect the fuel outlet line from the fuel heater.
(f)
Permit the fuel in the fuel outlet line to drain into the container.
