Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

If you found leakage, repair the cause of it.

(9) APUs WITHOUT ALLIEDSIGNAL SB GTCP85-49-7096; Examine the lubrication system for leakage:
(a)
Start the APU and let it operate for 3-5 minutes
(AMM 49-11-00/201).
(b)
Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(c)
Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
(d)
Visually examine the lubrication system for any signs of
leakage:
1) If you found signs of leakage, repair the cause of it.

For an oil change with the same type of oil, add oil to the tank if it is necessary (AMM 12-13-31/301).

For an oil change with a new type of oil, flush the oil tank:
(a)
Drain the oil tank.
(b)
Fill the oil tank.

(12) Close the oil filler door for the APU.

CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, FIRE DETECTOR, CLAMPS AND LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(13) Install the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.
(b)
Close the shroud latches.

(14) Close the APU cowl door:
(a)
Disconnect the door support rods.
(b)
Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door.
(c)
Close the APU cowl door.
(d)
Close the latches for the APU cowl door.

1. General

A. This procedure contains the tasks to remove and install the APU oil tank. The oil tank is on the APU at the three o'clock position. You can get access to the oil tank through the APU cowl door with the lower shroud removed.

Drain the oil tank (AMM 49-91-31/301).

Remove the oil tank:
(a)
Disconnect the outlet line for the oil cooler from the fitting on the oil tank.
(b)
Disconnect the inlet line for the oil pump from the fitting on the oil tank.
(c)
Disconnect the electrical plug for the oil level switch from the receptacle.
