(d) Attach the fuel line to the APU.
(3) S 434-013Tighten the coupling nut on the coupling that holds the combustor unit to the turbine plenum to 50-70 pound-inches (6.7-8.9 N.m).
(4) S 434-014Connect the high voltage lead to the igniter plug: (a) Connect the high voltage lead to the igniter plug. (b) Install a lockwire between the mounting bolts for the igniter plug and the terminal for the high voltage lead.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE FUEL DRAIN LINE OF ALL BLOCKAGE BEFORE
_______ YOU CONNECT THE FUEL DRAIN LINE. DAMAGE TO THE COMBUSTOR UNIT CAN OCCUR IF FUEL CANNOT DRAIN FREELY THROUGH THE FUEL DRAIN LINE.
(5) Connect the fuel drain line to the combustion chamber cap:
(a)
Remove the cap and plug from the fuel drain line and combustion chamber cap.
(b)
Blow air through the fuel drain line to make sure there is no blockage. 1) If there is blockage of the fuel drain line, do the
inspection of the fuel drain (AMM 49-31-71/601).
(c)
Connect the fuel drain line to the combustion chamber cap.

(6) Set the circuit breaker and the switch:
(a)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

(7) APUs WITH ALLIEDSIGNAL SB GTCP85-49-7096; Examine the combustor unit for leakage:
(a) Start and operate the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).

(b)
During the APU operation, examine the combustor unit for air or fuel leakage.
(c)
Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(d)
Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
(e)
If you found leakage, repair the cause of it.

(8) APUs WITHOUT ALLIEDSIGNAL SB GTCP85-49-7096; Examine the combuster unit for leakage:
(a)
Start and operate the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(b)
Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(c)
Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
(d)
Visually examine the combuster unit for any signs of air or fuel leakage. 1) If you found signs of leakage, repair the cause of it.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE APU SHROUD DRAINS OF ALL BLOCKAGE
_______ BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE AND THE APU CAN OCCUR IF FUEL CANNOT FLOW FREELY THROUGH THE APU SHROUD DRAINS.
(9) Clean the APU shroud drains (AMM 49-16-11/701). Make sure that all unwanted materials are removed from the APU shroud drains.

CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, FIRE DETECTOR, CLAMPS AND LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(10) Install the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.
(b)
Close the shroud latches.
