(1) Set the switch and the circuit breaker:
(a)
Set the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(b)
Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

(2) Open the APU cowl door:
(a)
Open the latches for the APU cowl door.
(b)
Open the APU cowl door.
(c)
Connect the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud and open the shroud latches.
(b)
Remove the lower shroud.

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENTS OF THE OIL SYSTEM IF THE APU IS
_______ HOT. THESE COMPONENTS STAY HOTTER THAN OTHER COMPONENTS. HOT COMPONENTS CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:_______DO NOT LET HOT OIL GET ON YOU. PUT ON GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT OR LET THE APU BECOME COOL. HOT OIL CAN BURN YOU.

Open the oil filler door for the APU.

(5)
Remove the filler neck from the filler port:
(a)
Remove the filler cap from the filler neck.
(b)
Remove the bolts, washers and nuts from the bracket on the
filler port of the oil tank.
(c)
Remove the filler neck from the filler port.

(6) Put a container below the drain port of the oil tank.

WARNING:_______DO NOT LET THE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. YOU CAN ABSORB POISONOUS MATERIALS FROM THE OIL THROUGH YOUR SKIN.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET OIL GET ON THE ENGINE OR OTHER COMPONENTS.
_______ IMMEDIATELY CLEAN THE OIL WHEN IT FALLS ON THEM. OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO PAINT AND RUBBER.
(7) Drain the oil from the oil tank:
(a)
Remove the drain plug while the oil is warm.
(b)
Drain the oil from the oil tank into the container.
(c)
For an oil change with a new type of oil, do these steps:
1) Drain the oil from the oil cooler and all related lines: a) Disconnect all oil lines from the oil cooler. b) Drain the oil from the oil lines and from the oil
cooler into the container.

2) Remove the oil pump filter (AMM 49-91-12/401): a) Remove the oil pump filter. b) Discard the oil pump filter.

(8) Remove the container with the oil from below the oil tank.
