(1) For an oil change with a new type of oil, do these steps:
(a) Connect all the oil lines to the oil cooler.

(b) Install a new oil pump filter (AMM 49-91-12/401).

Install the drain plug with a new packing.

Install the filler neck to the filler port:
(a)
Install the oil screen in the filler port of the oil tank.
(b)
Examine the O-ring seals on the filler cap and the filler neck and replace them if they are damaged.
(c)
Install the filler neck in the filler port of the oil tank.
(d)
Attach the filler neck to the filler port with the bolts,
washers and nuts.

CAUTION: DO NOT MIX THE TWO TYPES OF OIL (MIL-PRF-7808 TYPE I AND
_______ MIL-PRF-23699 TYPE II) WHEN YOU ADD THE OIL IN THE APU. IT IS PERMITTED TO MIX DIFFERENT BRANDS OF OIL WITH THE SAME TYPE OF OIL WHEN YOU ADD THE OIL IN THE APU. A MIXTURE OF THE TWO TYPES OF OIL IN THE APU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APU.
CAUTION: DO NOT PERMIT THE OIL LEVEL TO INCREASE MORE THAN THE
_______ 'FULL' MARK ON THE DIPSTICK OR SIGHT GLASS. IF THE OIL TANK IS TOO FULL, THE OIL WILL MAKE FOAM AND CAUSE A LOW OIL PRESSURE.

Fill the oil tank with the oil (AMM 12-13-31/301).

Install the filler cap in the filler neck of the oil tank.

Set the circuit breaker and the switch:
(a)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

For an oil change with a new type of oil, do the APU dry motoring to fill the oil pump (AMM 49-11-00/201).
