4. LOW OIL QUANTITY or MAINT Light
_______________________________
A. The LOW OIL QUANTITY or MAINT light comes on when the oil quantity in the oil tank is less than 1-2 quarts (0.9-1.9 liters). The microswitch in the oil quantity switch sends the signal to the LOW OIL QUANTITY or MAINT light.
5. Low Oil Quantity Switch

A. The oil quantity switch has a tube, float and magnetic microswitch. The float controls the microswitch. When the oil quantity is less than 1-2 quarts (0.9-1.9 liters), the microswitch sends the signal for the low oil quantity. The oil quantity switch is found on the bottom of the oil tank.

Drain the oil tank (AMM 49-91-31/301).

Remove the switch for the low oil quantity:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical plug from the receptacle and remove the receptacle from the bracket. 1) Remove the clamps that hold the wire sleeve to the
electrical conduit.
