(c) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

(2) Open the APU cowl door:
(a)
Open the latches for the APU cowl door.
(b)
Open the APU cowl door.
(c)
Connect the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud and open the shroud latches.
(b)
Remove the lower shroud.

(4)
Install the equipment to the fuel line:
(a)
Remove the inlet hose from the fuel control unit.
(b)
Remove the elbow fitting from the low-pressure fuel filter.
(c)
Remove the packing from the elbow fitting.
1) Discard the packing.
(d)
Install the tee fitting in the inlet port of the low-pressure fuel filter.
(e)
Connect the inlet hose to one side of the tee fitting.
(f)
Connect the hose to the other side of the tee fitting.
(g)
Install the pressure gage to the hose.
(5)
Supply external electrical power to the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201).

in the No. 1 fuel tank.

(6) Set the No. 1 AFT FUEL PUMP switch to the ON position.
NOTE: The No. 1 AFT FUEL PUMP switch is on the P5 forward

NOTE: If you must use the fuel boost pumps in the center tank,
____ you must have a maintenance person or observer in the flight compartment to continuously monitor the LOW PRESSSURE lights. Turn the applicable fuel boost pump to the OFF position if the LOW PRESSURE light for the center tank stays on.

(7) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
(a) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch.

Start the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).

Monitor the fuel pressure to make sure there is no blockage in the fuel line.
(a)
Make sure the fuel pressure does not drop below 5 psig (35
kPa).
(b)
If the fuel pressure drops below 5 psi (35 kPa), correct all
damage or blockage to the APU fuel system.

Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).

Remove the pressure gage from the hose.
(b)
Remove the hose from the tee fitting.
