Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

(2) Open the APU cowl door:
(a)
Open the latches for the APU cowl door.
(b)
Open the APU cowl door.
(c)
Connect the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud and open the shroud latches.
(b)
Remove the lower shroud.

(4) Remove the oil filter element:
(a) Put the container below the oil filter housing on the oil pump.

Remove the oil filter cap and the packing from the oil pump. 1) Let the oil drain into the container. 2) Discard the packing.
(c)
Remove the oil filter element and the packing from the oil pump. 1) Discard the packing.

(1) Clean the oil filter cap:
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE SOLVENT IN YOUR MOUTH OR EYES, OR ON YOUR
_______ SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE SOLVENT. PUT ON A PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLE AND GLOVES WHEN YOU USE THE SOLVENT. KEEP THE SOLVENT AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME, AND HEAT. THE SOLVENT IS A POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE SOLVENT WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Clean the oil filter cap with the cloth made moist with the solvent.
(b)
Fully dry the oil filter cap with the compressed air.

(2) Install the oil filter element:
(a)
Install the new packing, lubricated with engine oil, on the oil filter element.
(b)
Install the new packing, lubricated with engine oil, on the oil filter cap.
(c)
Install the oil filter element on the boss in the oil pump housing.
