 (11) Install the lower shroud:
 (a)  
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.

 (b)  
Close the shroud latches.

 (12) Close the APU cowl door:
 (a)  
Disconnect the door support rods.

 (b)  
Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door.

 (c)  
Close the APU cowl door.

 (d)  
Close the latches for the APU cowl door.

FUEL CONTROL UNIT GEAR SHAFT SEAL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure gives the tasks to remove and to install the gear shaft seal on the fuel control unit.
 B.  You must remove the fuel control unit to replace the seal.
 C.  The fuel control unit is on the forward left side of the APU engine. You can get access to the APU through the APU cowl door.

Remove the fuel control unit (AMM 49-31-11/401).

Remove the gear shaft seal:

 (a)  
Remove the retainer from the accessory drive housing. 1) Discard the packing.

 (b)  
Remove the snap ring and the seal from the retainer. 1) Discard the seal.
