(4) Test the oil pump:
(a)
Remove the cap from the end of the oil pressure manifold.
(b)
Attach a flexible oil line with an oil pressure gage to the manifold.
(c)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
(d)
Start the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
NOTE: Let the APU go to full speed with no load applied.
____
(e) Monitor the oil pressure for the oil pump.
NOTE: The oil pressure will read 95 |5 psig.
____
(f) If the oil pressure is not 95 |5 psig, do these steps: 1) Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201). 2) Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the APU master switch on the
P5 forward overhead panel.
3) Loosen the locknut.
4) If the oil pressure is too low, turn the adjustment screw
clockwise to increase the oil pressure.
5) If the oil pressure is too high, turn the adjustment screw
counterclockwise to decrease the oil pressure.
6) Tighten the locknut.
7) Do the test for the oil pump until the oil pressure is
correct.
(g)
If the oil pressure is 95 |5 psig, do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(h)
Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.
