(c) Connect the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud and open the shroud latches.
(b)
Remove the lower shroud.

(4) Remove the APU control thermostat:
(a)
Disconnect the control air line from the APU control thermostat.
(b)
Remove the bolt and the washer that attach the APU control thermostat to the mounting flange.
(c)
Carefully remove the APU control thermostat from the mounting flange.

(1) Install the APU control thermostat:
(a) Install the APU control thermostat in the mounting flange.

(b)
Apply a layer of the antiseize compound to the threads of the bolt.
(c)
Install the bolt and the washer.
1) Tighten the bolt to 50-70 pound-inches
(5.7-7.9 newton-meters).
CAUTION: DO NOT USE A WRENCH ON THE THERMOSTAT ADJUSTMENT COLLAR OR
_______ THE BODY WHEN YOU CONNECT THE CONTROL AIR LINE. THIS CAN CAUSE THE THERMOSTAT ADJUSTMENT TO CHANGE WHICH CAN PERMIT THE APU TO BECOME TOO HOT.
(d) Connect the control air line to the APU control thermostat.

(2) Do the APU operation test (AMM 49-11-00/501).
(a) If the EGT is not between 620-649°C, adjust the APU control thermostat (AMM 49-52-32/501).

CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, THE FIRE DETECTOR, THE CLAMPS, AND THE LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD, DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
