(j) Install the cap on the manifold.
S 415-010 CAUTION: KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.18 INCHES (5 MM) BETWEEN THE
_______ ENGINE, FIRE DETECTOR, CLAMPS AND LOWER SHROUD.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCURE. DAMAGE TO THE
(5) Install the lower shroud: (a) Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud. (b) Close the shroud latches.
(6) S 415-007Close the APU cowl door: (a) Disconnect the door support rods. (b) Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door. (c) Close the APU cowl door. (d) Close the latches for the APU cowl door.
(7) S 865-012Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

OIL PUMP - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General

A. This procedure gives the task to examine the APU oil pump. The APU oil pump is on the APU gearbox. You can get access to the oil pump through the APU cowl door.

(1)
Remove the filter element for the oil pump (AMM 49-91-12/401).

Examine the filter element for metal particles.
(a)
If the filter element has metal particles in it, do these steps: 1) Change the oil (AMM 49-91-31/301). 2) Replace the filter element (AMM 49-91-12/401). 3) Operate the APU for a minimun of 15 minutes (AMM
49-11-00/201). 4) Remove the filter element for the oil pump (AMM 49-91-12/401). 5) Examine the filter element. a) If the filter element has metal particles in it, replace the APU (AMM 49-11-00/401).
(b)
If the filter element does not have metal particles in it, install the filter element (AMM 49-91-12/401).

OIL PUMP FILTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure gives the tasks for the removal and the installation of
the oil pump filter.
B. The oil pump is on the forward bottom end of the APU engine. You can get access to the oil pump through the APU cowl door.

(1) Set the switch and the circuit breaker:

Set the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
