6. Main Entry Door Torque Tube Lower Coupling Repair (Fig. 201)_________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
If you find a crack in the lower coupling, you can install a clamp (Fig. 201) to make the lower coupling stronger. This is a temporary repair. You must install the new lower coupling.

(1)
Remove the torque tube (Ref to the applicable procedure above).
(2)
Apply a layer of the primer to the filler material.

Wind the filler strip around the coupling.

Put the filler as near as possible to the clamp lug on the coupling.

(4) S 412-035Install the clamp and the clamp saddle.
(5) S 832-036Make sure the clamp and the clamp saddle is as near as possible to the clamp lugs on the coupling.
(6) S 432-037Keep the clamp and the clamp saddle on the filler strip and install the nuts.
(7) S 422-038Install the torque tube (Ref to the applicable procedure above).

MAIN ENTRY DOOR HANDLE MECHANISM ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is the removal of the handle mechanism on the main entry door. The second task is the installation of the handle mechanism on the main entry door.
B. You can remove and install the handle mechanism with the entry door installed on the airplane. You can remove the external handles and the center shaft mechanism with the handle mechanism installed. To remove the external handles, you must remove the center shaft from the handle mechanism.
C. You can use this procedure to remove and install the handle mechanism, or only the external handles and the center shaft. The necessary steps to replace the handles and the center shaft are in the removal and installation tasks.
