Move the telescopic sleeve (23) above the snubber shaft.

1) Install the snubber (21) and telescopic sleeve (23) to engage the splines on the torque tube sleeve (15) and the lower link (27).

(v)
Lubricate the splines with grease before the installation.

(w)
Install and tighten the bolts (33, 35) on the telescopic sleeve (23).

(x)
Make sure the chain (17) does not touch the chain guard on the access panel (section A-A).

(y)
Remove material from the chain guard to prevent any interference.

(z)
Connect the snubber arm (21) to the structure link (38).

Apply corrosion preventive compound to the chain (17), the sprocket (16), and to the area above and below.

Install the entry door (Ref 52-11-09/401).

To attach the door actuator rod (43) to the chain (17), do these steps:

(a)
Close and latch the door.

CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE CHAIN (17) TWIST WHEN YOU INSTALL THE
_______ ACTUATOR ROD (43) TO THE ROD END (44). THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CHAIN.
(b) Connect the door actuator rod (43) to the rod end (44).
NOTE: The rod end (44) is attached to the chain (17).
