Make sure the snubber is good (AMM 52-11-17/601).

(2)
If you install a new snubber, make marks on it to help you install it in the correct position.
(a)
Look at the marks on the used snubber.
(b)
Put marks on the new snubber in the same location.

(3)
Put a layer of grease on these parts:
(a)
The splines on the snubber
(b)
The splines on the torque tube
(c)
The splines on the lower hinge link.

(4)
Install the snubber.
(a)
Engage the splines on the snubber with the splines on the torque tube.
(b)
Align the marks on the sleeve, the snubber, and the shaft for the lower hinge link.
(c)
Engage the splines on the sleeve with the splines on the lower hinge link.

(d) (e) Connect the snubber arm to the link with the bolt.Install the bolts in the sleeve.
(5) S 414-024Install the access panel on the forward edge of the door opening.
(6) S 414-025Install the hinge flaps (AMM 52-11-14/401).
(7) S 714-037Do a check of the operation of the snubber.
NOTE:____ You must have a door installed to do a check of the snubber.
(a) (b) (c) (d) Make sure the mode selector lever is in the disarmed (MANUAL/DISARM) position.Open the door quickly.Make sure there is resistance to the movement.Close the door.
(8) S 094-038Remove the maintenance stand.

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains one task. This task does a check of the quantity of fluid in the rotary snubber on the body torque tube.
B. A rotary snubber is installed on the body torque tube of each main entry door. The rotary snubber contains a silicone fluid which is pressurized.
