Install the Body Torque Tube

Assemble the shaft assembly (24), if it is necessary.
(a)
Do these steps to lubricate the shaft assembly (24) near the sprocket (57): 1) Clean the shaft (59), the sprocket (57) and the
sleeve/spacer (56). 2) Apply grease to the inner surfaces of the sprocket (57) and the sleeve (56). 3) Apply grease to all the open surfaces of the two bearings in the sprocket (57).
(b)
Assemble the sprocket (57), the sleeve/spacer (56), and the bearings (55 and 58) on the shaft (59).
(c)
Install the spacer (54), the lockwasher (53), and the locknut (52).
CAUTION:_______DO NOT MAKE THE LOCKNUT (52) TOO TIGHT. IF YOU MAKE THE LOCKNUT (52) TOO TIGHT, THE SPROCKET CANNOT MOVE FREELY AND THE DOOR WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY IN AN EMERGENCY.
(d)
Tighten the locknut (52) with your hand and lock it with the washer tabs.
(e)
Attach the chain (9) to the sprocket (27).
1) Install the pin from the top to connect the chain (9) to the sprocket (57).

2) Make sure the head of the attachment pin (29) on the rod end is up and the cotter pin is down. 3) Install the cotter pin (25) and one to three washers (26).
NOTE: Use the washers to fill the clearance between
____ the chain (9) and the cotter pin (25).
(f)
Install the spacer (51) above the locknut (52).
(g)
Lubricate the felt keyway plug (50) with grease.
(h)
Install the felt keyway plug (50) in the lockwasher keyway slot of the torque tube.
