(6) Examine the door.
(a) Look at the drain holes for blockage.
(b) Look at the door seals for cracks, damage, and the general
condition.
(c) When you examine the door seals to find if there are leaks of
air or noise, look for the items that follow:
1) Stains from tobacco smoke on the door seals and area around
the door seals
2) Damage to the seal retainers and deterioration of the
sealant on the seal retainers
3) Loose fasteners, clearance at the fasteners, cracks or
other damage to the structure around the opening of the
door.
NOTE: This includes the seals where the wing and body join____
at door 3.
(d) Look at the guide plates and roller pin for damage that can
cause a malfunction in the door.
(e) Look for damage to the flexible conduit for the wire bundle.
(f) Make sure the stop pins on the door align with the stop pads
(Fig. 602).
NOTE: Usual flight and pressure loads cause the stop pins to____
make marks on the stop pads.
(g) Make sure the wear pads for the stop pins on the lower gate are
not worn more than 0.035 inch.

(7) Make sure the contour and clearance of the door is correct (Ref
52-11-01/501).

(8) Make sure the roller bearing on the guide arm is installed correctly
in the housing.

(9) Install the door maintenance access panel forward of the door.

(10) Install the lining on the door (Ref 52-11-02/401).
