If you can move the bolt easily, then there is no initial load on the the guide arm (2) and the guide arm length is correct.
(e)
If you can't move the bolt easily, do these steps: 1) Loosen the locknuts (19) and (21). 2) Turn the length adjustment fitting (20) to adjust the guide
arm (2) length sufficiently. 3) Make sure the bolt (24) is free to move. 4) Tighten the larger locknut (21) to 650-700 pound-inches and
the smaller locknut (19) to 350-400 pound-inches.
(f)
Install the washer (22) and nut (23) on the bolt (24).
(g)
Tighten the bolt (24) which connects the guide arm (2) to the support fitting (8).

Open the door to the cocked position with the external handles.

(b) DOOR 5; Do these steps: 1) Apply the sealant around the edge of the hinge cover if it
is necessary (AMM 51-31-01/201). 2) Install the cover (5). 3) Install the bolts (3), (6), and (7) and the washers (4)
that hold the cover (5) on.

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first is the removal of the power actuator and the chain on the main entry door. The second is the installation of the power actuator and the chain on the main entry door.

B52009-10 - Safety Pin Set, Emergency Power System, Entry Doors (PREFERRED)
NOTE: The safety pin set contains 10 pin assemblies (P/N B52009-2).
____ Each pin assembly consists of 2 pins connected by a lanyard with a streamer attached. If a pin assembly is not available, you can use 2 bolts, 3/16-inch diameter by 1-1/4-inch grip. Install one bolt above and one below the reservoir knife plunger. Attach the bolts in position to prevent their loss. Attach a streamer as a reminder that you must remove the bolts to operate the reservoir.
(3) MIT65B04430-1 - Safety Pin, Power Reservoir, Main Entry Door (ALTERNATE IF PIN SET P/N B52009-10 IS NOT AVAILABLE)
