Attach the end of the cover with the clamp block (3) at the door sill. 1) Keep an 0.25-0.40 inch of the cover from the clamp block.

Install the cover on the terminal board.

Make sure the distance between the ends of the retraction spring is as shown in Detail A.

Adjust the wire bundle in the door clamp block (3) to get the specified dimension, if it is necessary.

MAIN ENTRY DOOR NO. 5 - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains a task to adjust the No. 5 main entry door. The adjustments are in the order necessary for the door replacement. The door adjustments are related and you must do them in the recommended sequence to make sure the door operation is correct.
B. Do the door installation adjustments with the airplane on its landing gear and the total fuel load not more than 60,000 pounds. The difference between fuel load on each side of the fuelage must not be more than 5000 pounds.
NOTE: If the airplane is on jacks, you can do the adjustments with the

airplane in one of these configurations:
-
The inboard wing jacks IV and V installed with the load on each jack not more than 30,000 pounds.
-
The inboard wing jacks IV, V and the tail jack III installed with the load on each jack not more than 30,000 pounds.
-
The tail jack III installed with the load on the jack not more than 4000 pounds.
