Slowly latch the door with the torque wrench (or spring scale).
(j)
Make sure the latching torque is not more than 540 pound-inches (30 pounds on the spring scale).
(k)
Do these steps if the latching torque is not satisfactory: 1) Make the upper gate pushrod shorter. 2) Measure the unlatching torque again to make sure it stays
satisfactory.

(7) Make sure the following adjustments are satisfactory:
NOTE:____These adjustments are related. When you change one of them, you must continue to check and change the other adjustments until they are all satisfactory. Refer to the appropriate steps to make these adjustment.
(a)
The clearance between the latch roller and the latch fitting (4 locations)
(b)
The flushness of the door skin and body skin
(c)
The handle torque
(d)
The upper and lower gate overcenter dimension
(e)
Remove the ruler from the door structure.

Do a check of the blade seal (Fig. 503) (Ref 52-09-02/201).

Make sure the door is closed and latched.

(b) Make sure the blade seal is as shown in Fig. 503.

Adjust the door centering guide.
(a)
Install the door centering guide on the door.
(b)
Move the centering guide to get the clearances shown in Fig. 501, Detail E. 1) Change the washers on the guide attachment to move it
forward or aft. 2) Move the guide on the serrated plate to move it up or down.
(c)
Tighten the nut on the centering guide shaft to keep the guide from turning.

Adjust the hold-open device (Detail G).
(a)
Fully open the door.
(b)
Push 10 to 15 pound force inboard on the door to take the play out of the hold-open device.
(c)
Make sure the forward edge of the door is 4 to 6 inches from the body skin.
(d)
Adjust the anchor plate if it is necessary to move the forward edge of the door. 1) Loosen the four anchor plate attach bolts to adjust the
