Remove the maintenance access panel, forward of the door.

Measure the length of the green indicator pin (Fig . 601).

 NOTE: The fluid in the rotary snubber is equivalent to the compound
____ used in the area of the torque tube. Leakage is not easy to see. You must use the indicator pin to see if the quantity of fluid decreased.
 (a)  The rotary snubber is serviceable if the extension of the indicator pin is the same as shown on Fig. 601.
