(b) (c) (d) Install the rotary snubber (10) and the telescopic sleeve (7) to the torque tube (11).Connect the snubber arm (5) to the structure link (3).Move the telescopic sleeve (7) to the link shaft (6) and install the clamp bolt (8).
(5) S 414-009Install the maintenance access panel (1).
(6) S 864-010Make sure the mode selector lever is in the MANUAL position.
(7) S 714-011Open the door and do a check for the snubbing at the end of the travel.
(8) S 864-012Close and latch the door.

BODY TORQUE TUBE ROTARY SNUBBER (DOOR NO. 1) -

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains one task. This task does a check of the quantity of fluid in the rotary snubber on the body torque tube.
B. A rotary snubber is installed on the body torque tube of each main entry door. The rotary snubber contains a silicone fluid which is pressurized.
C. A green indicator pin on the housing of the rotary snubber extends out to show the quantity of the fluid.
D. The indicator pin retracts into the housing of the rotary snubber when the quantity of fluid decreases.
E. The length that the indicator pin extends out of the housing changes with different temperatures.

Remove the maintenance access panel, forward of the door.
(3)
Measure the length green indicator pin (Fig. 601).

NOTE: The fluid in the rotary snubber is equivalent to the compound
____ used in the area of the torque tube. Leakage is not easy to see. You must use the indicator pin to see if the quantity of fluid decreases.
(a) The rotary snubber is serviceable if the extension of the indicator pin is the same as shown on Fig. 601.
