 NOTE: If entry door impacts any object outside airplane during normal
____ door operation, immediately stop door operation and refer to 52-11-00, Inspection/Check, for quick check procedure to verify that door will still function properly.
 (1)  The door (No. 1 or 5) is opened manually from inside the airplane by rotating the interior handle 180 degrees to move the door inward to the cocked position, then manually pushing the door outward to the full open position.

 (2)  
Initial rotation of the interior handle rotates the control cam which transmits angular movement to the latching crank. The latching crank, connected to two pushrods, rotates the upper and lower latch torque tubes. Rotation of the latch torque tubes withdraws the latch rollers from the latch cams and folds the upper and lower gates inward. Withdrawal of the latch rollers closes the door warning switch and energizes the annunciator light on the flight engineer's panel.
