Remove the maintenance access panel (1) from the outer side of the airplane, forward of the door.

Remove the hinge flaps forward of the hinge links (Ref
52-11-14/401).

Remove the lining from the side of the doorway (AMM 25-59-01/401).

Remove the sprocket (16).
(a)
Remove the bolt (35) from the telescopic sleeve (23).
(b)
Disconnect the chain (17) from the door actuator rod (43).
1) Turn the door actuator rod (43) to disconnect the rod end (44).
(c)
Remove the bolt (39) that connects the snubber arm (21) to the structure link (38).
(d)
Disconnect the snubber (21) from the torque tube sleeve (15). 1) Move the snubber (21) down the telescopic sleeve (23).
(e)
Remove the snubber fitting (20) and the shims (40).
(f)
Make a location mark of the shims (40) on the structure.
NOTE: Keep the shims for installation.

If you cannot remove the sprocket, do these steps: 1) Remove the bolt (33) from the telescopic sleeve (23). 2) Disconnect the telescopic sleeve (23) from the lower link
(27). 3) Remove the snubber (21) and the telescopic sleeve (23). 4) Remove the sprocket (16).
