(1) Examine the galley floor, the floor attach fittings and the related area for damage and corrosion.
(a) Repair the water seal if it is damaged or worn.

Repair damaged floor attach fittings and floor panels if it is necessary (AMM 53-21-02/401).
(3)
Move the galley components to the upper deck area.

(4) Seal the galley units:
(a) The galley compartments that contain moisture (coffeemakers, ovens, refrigerators, etc.) must be sealed.
NOTE: The sealant will prevent the leakage into the adjacent
____ compartments or into the galley unit structure. Do not seal the specified drain holes.
(b)
The galley work areas must be sealed to prevent leakage into the lower parts of the galley.
(c)
The joints must be sealed to prevent the leakage of liquids between the structural walls and components.
(d)
The work area must be sealed to keep moisture from the space between the galley and the airplane wall.

(5) Make a rubber seal with RTV 174 around the lower edge of the panels which touch the splashguards.

CAUTION: LOCATE THE GALLEY UNIT TO THE ATTACHMENT FITTINGS WITH
_______ SUFFICIENT CARE TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE WATER BARRIER. ENSURE THAT ALL VENTS, WATER LINES, AND ELECTRICAL WIRES ARE CLEAR OF THE UNIT.

Use the vacuum cups to move the bottom section of the galley unit into its position on the floor attach fittings.

Connect the overhead tie-rod to the airplane structure.
NOTE:____Install the tie-rod and adjust to the necessary length. The last adjustment must put the drain hole on the bottom. Put the tie-rod in the center of the clevis fitting. Install washers between the pin and the fitting, if it is necessary.
